LGBTQ Inclusion:
- RBCC has been officially “Open and Affirming” since 2001
- We have LGBTQ+ people who are pastors, musicians, deacons and elders
- About 25% of our membership is LGBTQ+
- We are a living witness to the creativity and joy of radical welcome
- We celebrate Pride with a Pridefest booth and a Pride-themed worship
Anti-Racism Working Group:
- Leads semi-annual worship on themes of racial justice and reparation
- Works with local individuals and organizations on efforts to dismantle systemic racism
- Provides ongoing study and learning opportunities; past studies have included:
- Distributes the RBCC Reparations Fund
Peace Commitments:
Church members are involved in local efforts:
- Fellowship of Reconciliation chapter
- Veterans for Peace local chapter
- Peace protests against the wars in Ukraine and Gaza
