We’ve begun the season of Lent, a 40-day journey to the cross, and a time of preparation for Easter. We are invited to practices of prayer, fasting and repentance, to tending our spiritual lives and the giving of ourselves to others.
Lenten devotional material is available for check out from our church library, and our book study group is reading The Last Week by John Dominic Crossan and Marcus Borg, another invitation to study the Gospels and the cross.
The Hospitality Team is hosting a pizza and game night on March 16, and our additional Vespers (evening prayer) worship is back for Lent on March 18 and April 1, 7 pm in the sanctuary. Pastor Sarah is planning an “RBCC 101” class for Lent as well for new folks and old timers alike who want to learn more about what our church believes and how we work.
